Bay Area artist - KEN PHLOW.
Ken started writing poetry in grammar school. By 1988, he put his poetry to music. We will be hearing more from this artist. Ken has already written and arranged 4 more albums. Each song Ken composes derives from a chapter of his life. Be prepared to see the next volume to this CD.
"If the Serpent Could Save Me, is an arrangement of work written about life's temptations. The illusions our worldly egos put together, tempting us with facades to stray us away from our higher power . This chapter is essentially spiritual guide lines for one to think more superior. If The Serpent Could Save Me shines the light on love as the greatest power man will ever know."
Keep your eye on this artist, he is the "Anatomy of a West Coast Poet". He has a fresh new "sound" and will be a good role model for us.

author: CD Baby
This Bay Area hip hop artist is carving out his niche, refusing to cater to the cliches and mainstream habits of West Coast hip hop and instead, is mixing in his own preferences for sophisticated r&b and jazz influence with smooth and pointed delivery. Instead of filling up the music with "I'm so bad ass" posturing and "ya'll better respect me" ego, this man knows how to keep it real with actually SAYING something worth listening to in his lyrics, giving music back to its real purpose.

This CD is inspired. tracks that leave you in a daydream With tight lyrics that never seem to faulter. Its refreshing to see a album that is not afraid to experiment with varying musical influences and subjects most artists would be afraid to touch. In this Ken pulls it off with style.
