notes
Phoebe Kreutz is all about the good times. Or, at least, she's all about making enough jokes about the bad times that they become the good times. Her slap-happy writing style blends bright melodies with tight lyrics. These bits come together to create a jolly world of joke folk where everybody and everything is fair game- from vikings to fast-food workers, from birth to eternal damnation.
"Pretty. Pretty Stupid." is her first album and it includes lots of the songs that have kept her NYC audiences chuckling for years. Recorded at Olive Juice Music Studios with Major Matt Mason USA (and exploiting the formidable talents of Jenn Lindsay, Casey Holford and Dashan), this CD is one to perk you up. You'll want to play it for your friends and they'll want to copy it from you - but don't let them. Tell them to buy it here.

Wonderfolk
author: SwithunNot only did this CD arrive from CDbaby stupidly quickly, it is also one of the best 9 song CDs ever released. 'I Broke Up With You First' and 'Cigarette' are classic comedy as well as catchy folk-pop. Phoebe Kreutz should be signed to a major label immediately. Or perhaps be given a hat and big hoop earrings and go "urban" for the mainstream market.
Pretty, Pretty Delightful
author: MarkThe best is when you can hear her chuckling to herself in "Math and Pregnancy" when she rhymes 'lovin' and '(bun in the) oven'. The entire album is light and breezy like that.
To hear her sing reminds me of the great times of being her former classmate...!
author: PeiAhh, so THIS is where you've gone, Phoebe :)! I always knew there was a Jokey Smurf in ya. It's great fun and a cheery CD to lift the spirits, just like Phoebe. buy it, you won't regret it! visit feslenraster.com
ROXXORS YOUR SOXXORS
author: Michael TannerThis C.D. redefines a human's expectations about what love is. Standing on the ledge of time and space, a simple man may look out into the swirling abyss and wonder things unknowable. That simple man is simple because an equally simple twist of fate made it so that his soul and this C.D. never crossed paths. Oh, there were occasions of near-misses and games of horse shoe. A badly parsed URL or a deleted email snatched the chance away. Such is life on the balistrade between redemption and mediocrity.
If you don't love this CD you probably have a medical condition!
author: Nancy CohenThe only down side to this funny lively CD is that you don't want it to end! Once you hear it you'll be one of the millions who just WANT MORE PHOEBE!

author: Hoc Mocphollowing in the phun tradition of phemale joke phoke acts, phoebe one ups em - pulls them other sissies' pigtails and kicks em in the shins and runs away with their lunch money....yippee! but then she brings it back with a half sincere apology....all the songs are lo fi gems, hilariously crafted set ups with excellent punchlines....minimalist production is a blessing and takes a backseat to the pixie-like voice and happy go lucky strumming....a fun poof of fresh air in your cd player...
