Piankhy has been a member of the screen actors guild since 1973.His first film was a pilot for the movie J.T.which originally starred Kevin Hooks.The pilot J.T.in which piankhy played the role of Macon was directed by John Sekura who is now stationed in Hollywood.Since then piankhy has been in countless films and has had several principal roles including to name just a few:The Brother From Another Planet,role:Virgil,directed by John Sayles.Cookie,starring Emily Lloyd and Peter Falk,role:street vendor.Law and Disorder,starring Ernest Borgnine and Carrol O'connor,role: Ralph,Married To The Mob,Crocodile Dundee1,Ghostbusters1,St-
reet Smart,Our Family Honour,Hometown,Fame and the list goes
on which would be too numerous to mention.Named Sydney Sheriff Jr. at birth piankhy hails from the island of Jamaica and in short the stage is nothing new to him.However
,as much as he loves the dramatic arts he has always seen
music as his main niche.His first album,`Sweet Reggae'was
released in 2001,his second album Sweet Reggae2,an extension
of his original album has been released here in the latter
part of 2002.Both`Sweet Reggae'and`Sweet Reggae2'were
produced through Nyah Productions Inc.an jamacian independent company located here in the United States.
Piankhy has composed and produced songs on his own such as
`The Royal Regiment'before his collaboration with Nyah.Songs
such as,`Thoughts Concerning You',`Just AS Long',and `Sweet
Reggae Music were composed from 1989 through the early 1990's.He is looking forward to produce his own works
totally in the near future.Bob Marley had said,`If music
must make money,music will make money'.Bob had also said
`God never run any wire fence'.`Good music has no colour',
says piankhy,`I love all music,if the feeling moves me i let

the joyful sound'...Sealah.In 1993 Piankhy and his fellow
brethren formed the Ashanti reggae band after a year on the
road the band dissolved.Piankhy has now formed his new act
called "Piankhy and Numidia".
