PICK 3 founded in 1995 by Tom Eaton
*** REVIEWS of PICK 3's "A Good Woman's Love" ***
..An all-around instrumentalist talent. Each of the performers exhibits a convincing ability in a wide variety of styles, sliding easily from one form to another, be it from the lilting and graceful Irish waltz of "Fanny Power," to the flowing swing of Fats Waller's "Honeysuckle Rose," or from Merle Haggard's country classic "California Cottonfields" to a string band medley of fiddle tunes. Their work on the bluegrass numbers, which fill half the record, is equally solid. Even without a banjo, the group gets the proper feel.
I found Pick 3's arrangements thoughtful and engaging and well-above the average fare. The final things I would praise are the trio's overall relaxed feel and good humor. Those are qualities often lost in the seriousness of the studio but not here, and it makes for better listening.

This bluegrass-inspired trio from the metropolitan New York area exhibits a passion for its eclectic repertoire. Besides enthusiasm and good taste, the bands adventurous style consistently aims for the tough licks, a trait especially evident in Eaton's guitar playing.

*** WHAT THE DJs SAY About PICK 3's CD ***
Thanks for the CD that arrived here today. I have played it once and am over the moon with it! The variety of styles should keep a number of our program presenters asking for it from the station's library.
- Tony Nightingale, host of "Folk's Wagon" Fenland Community Radio, Horncastle, England
-----
I must tell you that I like the mix of songs and songwriters you have chosen for this CD. Anyone who can combine Tim O'Brien, Bill Monroe and Bob Wills is all right in my book.
- Jim Graves, Host of "Free Flight" WFSS 91.9 FM Fayetteville, NC
-----
Outstanding! Like the vocals, fiddle & picking. Featured Pick 3 on today's program and the response was really good.
- Lee Bolton, WOBO Radio Norwood, Ohio
-----
What a fine collection of songs; some great music! GREAT!
- Dr. David L. Weide, Producer and host of "Mostly Folk" KUNV FM Las Vegas, Nevada
