Album Notes

A dynamic Texas trio out of DFW, Pickle has stepped onto the local stage with fresh original rock. Combing a jazz trained bassist, solid jam-band style drummer, and a vocalist/guitarist with a singer/songwriter feel creates pickle's sound. Loitering on the edge of power pop rock, Pickle's songs dip their toes in a variety of styles ranging from Elvis Costello to Old 97's.

Pickle's infectious grooves result in a charged show that leaves the audience humming their tunes. This tasty brand of melody rock, combined with a large and diverse well of material makes for refreshing ever changing shows, whether on the acoustic stage, or in full pulsing electric rock. Pickle takes fun, smart, catchy rock, and shakes it up until it bursts into a sound that can only be Pickle.

Originally slated to be a demo, Pickle's EP Yummy was recorded within a month of the band's inception. This young band spent two days in the studio recording, and when they emerged they had over 40 minutes of music in 7 songs. What had begun as a demo project, became a professionally recorded, mastered and packaged EP called Yummy. One year later, Pickle is back in the studio, taking their time to record their first LP.
