Album Notes

Pien Feith is a band from Utrecht formed around Pien Feith (the girl). She started playing her first shows in small bars and living rooms in 04. After self-releasing her first EP(a small collection of 4-track recordings), she got enough attention from the press and other critical listeners to do more and bigger shows than before. In less than a year time, she played with acts she normally only listens to at home. She played with acts such as Coco Rosie, Vollmar and Great Lake Swimmers. After performing on her own for more than a year, she managed to put a band together. Nowadays, she plays with Melvin Wevers (Vehicle) on Guitars, Bart de Kroon (We vs. Death) on bass and Sebastiaan Janssen (Vehicle) on drums. Together with her live band, the singer/songwriter-sound made place for a more indie-like sound. Live, you can hear influences from bands like Sonic Youth, Cat Power either/or The Black Heart Procession (with a female singer, that is). Oh, and of course you can hear her passion for late 50s female singers in her music.
