Album Notes

Fronted by vocalist and Chicago native Jennifer Paul, this group of musicians use haunting and exotic melodies to frame stories of longing, lust, and sometimes murder.

Multi-instrumentalist, Stephen Dorocke, has also played with Handsome Family, Freakwater, and Stan Ridgway.

Some songs have a bright somba beat, while others border on country music, but with a twist.

Many diversified influences converge to make this a unique listening experience. Not for the squeamish.

UPDATE: We are no longer performing, but appreciate your interest and support. THANKS AGAIN! 08-18-06

Jennifer Paul: vocals / Steve Dorocke: pedal steel, guitar, accordian, mandolin / Brian Doyle: guitar, harp, percussion / Tom Musick: bass / Randy Jezierski: drums

I love the swirl of sounds here. They sound like the region, and any band that geographically accurate deserves props. It's a very raw sound, rundown...but that's why I enjoy it so much.
