Flying into the U.S. at 150 beats per minute, PINE*am is ready to introduce themselves to North America. Maybe Pink Lady on speed, maybe your favorite electronic artist on Japanese speed, maybe sped up psychedelic rock for the new millennium, PINE*am is definitely a ball full of energy. Tsugumi Takashi, Chizuko Matsubayashi and Taeca Kinoshita are PINE*am and together with new U.S. partner Eenie Meenie Records, they are getting ready to take the States by storm.

Formed in 1999, their self-titled debut EP was released in Japan and Europe and many members of the foreign press gushed over the five-track teaser. The EP allowed them to tour Japan and Germany, as well as get their songs featured on numerous compilations. Three of those compilations were released on major European labels (Tricatel from France, Shibuyahot from Germany and S.H.A.D.O. from Italy). Their first full length, Playing Intense Neutral Electronica ad nauseAM, has already hit the stores in Japan and will be released through Eenie Meenie Records in the US on March 30, 2004.

Despite that intense neutral electronica sound flying from your speakers, the girls play their own instruments (really well, as a matter of fact). With the help of a drum machine and some synth keyboard, the ladies of PINE*am know how to jam on the guitar and bass. This rock band attitude with electronic energy is just one more element of exceptionality that makes PINE*am one of the hottest bands you've never heard of-until now.
