This album was recorded in 2011, as an attempt to create a "snapshot" of where we were at the time.
All songs were recorded in one take (except for chorus vocals) in either a small live house or a member's home.
The aim was not to get a "perfect" recording, but to offer a full-size form of our true sound.
If you don't understand the lyrics in En Ulas Ta, that's okay--it's not English.
Tracks 1, 2, 3 and 5 were recorded at Gara Gara (Osaka, Japan), recorded and mixed by Yasuyuki Kikkawa. Track 4 was recorded at Sara's house, recorded and mixed by Daisuke Nakai. All tracks were mastered by Daisuke Nakai. Produced by Pirates Canoe.
GUITAR BLUE is about the magic of music.
SPIDER TATTOO was inspired by a really fun Japanese band that sings dirty songs. (Don't worry, we never managed to make ours sufficiently dirty--it's clean.)
GOODBYE JACQUELINE is dedicated to the sad and tragic life of Pablo Picasso's last wife, Jacqueline Roque.
BALLERINA MEENA JANE was a response to a very passionate monologue from a friend who loves ballet.
EN ULAS TA was born from a love of LOTR. Its about a decaying world that makes a final attempt at hope.
