Album Notes

The Pittsburgh Songwriters Circle is a very loose association of mostly non-professional closet songwriters from the Pittsburgh area, most of whom rarely perform for audiences. With no dues, no official membership, no obligations and working under the umbrella of Calliope: The Pittsburgh Folk Music Society, they meet monthly to trade and critique each others songs. Their annual compilation album presents their songs with high-production values. The 2011 collection is the sixth in an album series that has so far included the works of nearly 50 artists.
