Album Notes

Formed in 1988 in Long Beach, CA, the Pivot Foots are a three piece band that defy characterization, incorporating elements of rock and roll, punk, rockabilly, jazz, country, pop, cha cha, and whatever else gets in our way. We've played gigs with a wide variety of bands including the Meat Puppets, Mike Watt, the Beat Farmers, NRBQ, the Didjits, Fearless Leader, Lovingkindness, Sublime, Busface, Reverend Horton Heat, Lawndale. Blair Walker and Brent Walker played in bands such as Biz Pop, the Backbeats and the Baker Brothers before hooking up with Mudd Plumbing, formerly of the Falling Idols, and Glue Factory. Blair has also played in a number of bands including Lovingkindess, Corn Doggy Dog and the 1/2 Pound and Del Noah and the Mt. Ararat Finks. Brent has played in bands including Del Noah, the Fleagles and the Henpeckers. Greg has played in many groups including Del Noah, Corn Doggy Dog, Ken the All Night Rocker, Third Alley, many many more. The Pivot Foots put out the LP "Wingless Birds of Flight" in 1990, and the CD "Using Nature to Destroy Itself" a while later (currently available from Long Beach Records).
