Album Notes

Called an underground blues legend by some and a legendary street performer by a few more, PK Dwyer's new release Rough Shod proves him worthy of both titles.

Rough Shod showcases seven tunes that are pure acoustic boogie featuring unvarnished, but masterful guitar, smokin' hot harmonica, and witty homegrown lyrics. Recording was done at Garey Shelton Productions in Seattle, Washington and Garey did a wonderful job capturing PK's magic! What you hear on Rough Shod is a short & slightly polished PK Dwyer street performance without the background noise of traffic or conversation.

Track #4: Noticed By The Blues was inspired by lated Seattle Blues guitarist Dave Conant. This tune is a bit different from PK's usual raucous style and is the only song on Rough Shod that does not feature harmonica.

Track #5: Long Way Back was written after an injury and complications with arthritis in his hands forced a 5 month lay-off in which PK was unable to play guitar. It looked like the end but PK was not going to accept his performing days were over and began the arduous task of learning to play guitar without the use of his left index finger.

. . . Enjoy!
