Album Notes

Perry's a singer, songwriter, guitarist who's recorded six CDs of original tunes. He's shared his music in Russia in 1993, in Turkey in 1999, in Mexico in 2001, in Thailand in 2002 and in Belgium in 2005. The passion that fuels Perry's music is his desire to know Jesus more and to make him known among all nations.

The tune "Glory to God" was penned on a Christmas eve on a trip into northern Michigan during a driving snow storm. Perry says,

"I was inspired by the snow storm. I started thinking what it must have been like for the shepherds on the night Jesus was born. So I tell the Christmas story from the vantage point of one of the shepherds. Most of the song came easily on the drive. But for the longest time I wasn't happy with the end of the story. But finally it all came together. I think the song inspires, for me anyway, the wonder and mystery of that incredible night."

Until June of 2007, Perry's day job was being the host of the afternoon show at 99 seven, Family Life Radio, Midland, Michigan. Now Perry serves with Frontiers based in Phoenix, a ministry inviting Muslims the world over to follow Jesus. Perry uses radio and music to inspire followers of Jesus to share Jesus' love with Muslims. Perry says, "There's so much fear in the world. We want to build trust with our Muslim friends and break down the walls of fear that are between us."

Perry is married to Teresa, who serves as the Human Resources Director for Frontiers. They have two beautiful teenagers, Kali and Taylor.

In Perry's free time he likes to play basketball, ride his mountain bike, read challenging stuff like The Case For Faith by Lee Strobel and What's So Amazing About Grace by Phillip Yancey, and read science fiction (in particular, the continuing Star Wars series).
