Album Notes

Formed in January of 2001, San Francisco based Plasticade aims for a fresh new sound. Fronted by an ambitious young New Yorker, with a soulful presence, backed by a flavourishly funktified band, Plasticade is taking their version of funk and groove and stamping it squarely on the foreheads of those punters enjoying a vibrant musical buffet.

With comparisons ranging from Janis Joplin to Nikka Costa, vocalist Nicole is backed by tightly grooved beats, heavy funk bass and edgy guitar riffs. A melting pot of influences within the band lead the way for an energetic twist of back to roots funk, groove and soul creating a musical sundae with an extra creamy dollop of rock 'n' roll...just for good measure.
