Album Notes

"Anyone who could imagine Chris Spedding fronting Television would understand." (Patrik Forshage, Swedish entertainment magazine Nöjesguiden)

"I almost never buy cd's anymore (Alice Cooper gets my cash everytime) and NEVER purchase anything home released. Having said that, your music grabbed me and I'm hooked. Those soaring harmonies and the moving bass lines, the lead vocals, the guitars, it's all top notch! And those songs! Here's my email addy and when it's released, I will absolutely buy from you guys. The album art is striking, simple and as catchy as your music. Haven't been as excited about a new release since Coop's Dirty Diamonds back last fall. Tour here, please."
Rick Jones (The Plastic Pals-fan, Edinburgh, Indiana, USA)

One third mid-1970´s New York punk, one third powerpop and one third paisley underground. The Plastic Pals from Stockholm, Sweden could be described as the missing link between Television and Green on red. Daringly dwelling in a musical tradition where there's a thin line between being original and merely being a carbon copy, the band succeeds in adding a flavour of their own. ”… the flavour of a ripe fruit” as the Italian music webzine Nerds Attack! puts it in a review of The Plastic Pals´ debut CD-EP ”The band that's fun to be with”.

Fun to Feel this Good

Plastic Pals make you feel good...the four tunes on this EP ring out with pop style and rock intensity. Great parallel guitar work; excellent vocals. Read early Cheap Trick meets the HooDoo Gurus and turns into a sound all its own. I cannot wait for their full length cd in 2008--The Good Karma Cafe....!!!

Fine indie rock with beautiful guitar lines.
author: Jonas Halléhn/DIST
The Plastic Pals - The band that´s fun to be with have four tracks: "Hangin´in the Louvre", "If love should call", "More than an icon", "Tears". And this is fine indie rock with beautiful guitar lines and the vocals are just perfect to the music. Håkan Soold (vocals, guitar), Olov Öqvist (drums), Bengt Alm (bass) and Anders Sahlin (guitar) really do have a sound of their own. I can´t hear any immidate influences from any other band. Perhaps just Soundtrack of our lives in the song "If love should call". This is groovy from the very beginning. I really want to hear more from The Plastic Pals. The EP is recorded Spring 2006 at Studio Acetone by Micke "Rip" Borg. The best song: Hangin´in the Louvre.
