Album Notes

PLAYA AZIAN is undoubtedly one of the freshest, exciting, and most unlikely newcomers to the world of Hip-Hop.

Weaned on rock groups like GUNS & ROSES, METALLICA, and KISS; Playa Azian found his calling when he heard the lyrical genius of RUN DMC.

California native, Playa Azian started spittin' lyrics when he was just fifteen-years-old with a classmate. He says, "For some reason he got me rappin', then we both started rappin' together and writing rhymes using the dictionary."

During an eighteen-month confinement, Playa Azian used his time to work on his music and deepen his message.

"I was never really into freestyling or freestyle battles. I was always into writing songs with hooks and content.

After leaving his cell for the last time he wrote: "I'm out now free as a bird/eighteen months in a box and this is all I heard/Playa dot Azian/affiliated Franklins/out to get money and out to take money." That rhyme landed in the song titled "You Can't Stop This" on his debut album "The One".

Upon his release, Playa Azian vowed never to go back inside. Within weeks he had forged a new path - this time a s a serious performer. After several attempts, he convinced the executives of Bigshot Music Group, Inc. to sign him with the label.

Playa Azian, a.k.a. P.A. The One, is now paving his way from the underground to the mainstream in Hip-Hop.
