Album Notes

Playing In Traffic, Bios: Steve Fine, songwriter. Besides founding Playing In Traffic, Steve is the main coordinator for Neighbors for Peace and Justice, San Fernando Valley, which organizes peace vigils and community events. Steve sings lead on the two songs he wrote, “Trouble In This Land” and “I’ll Be Home Any Day.” Dennis Davis, songwriter, is also a documentary filmmaker. His film, “Beyond Babylon” has screened at numerous festivals. It blends past and present to examine the true cost of war. Dennis wrote and sings lead on “Regret To Inform You”, a poignant and powerful ballad about a family receiving the bad news about their son serving in Iraq. John Keller, lead guitar, is also a peace and environmental activist. John gets around town on a bike and public transportation. In LA, that’s takes real commitment. As Ed Begeley, Jr. says, “John is my hero.” He plays a great lead guitar and sings like a Hillbilly in the White House on a sidesplitting Bushified version of “Act Naturally”.
