Play-along tracks are pre-recorded accompaniments for jazz musicians. Each track leaves musical space for the user to "fill in" or play-along. These tracks are intended for chordal players (piano, guitar, vibes...) who want to work on comping changes and improvising solos.
Each track has our live duo (bass and drums) playing each progression in one of three keys: C, F, and Bb. You'll be able to practice these common chord progressions in three of the most used (and easiest) keys. Be sure to click the FREE CHART link to download the chord changes used for these tracks.
Tracks 1-3 introduce you to the simplest jazz progression, the ii/V.
Tracks 4-6 give you a chance to use the ii/V in its most common form, as part of a "turnaround".
Tracks 7-9 has the jazzy version of the 12-bar blues.
Tracks 10-12 will get you up to speed on the famous (and widely played) 32-bar progression based on Gershwin's I Got Rhythm.
Our play-along tracks are great for helping you master the fundamentals of jazz improvisation — and you get to play with a world class professional rhythm section.
