Album Notes

With the retro Brit-pop styles of the Killers and Franz Ferdinand emerging as the new rock movement, Pittsburgh’s Pleasure Technicians are in the right genre at the right time. And they are friggin’ good... real good! -Music Underground Mag

Pleasure Technicians have drafted a schematic for the ergonomically designed pop song. Similar to models like U2 and Radiohead, it’s equipped with Pink Floyd horsepower and Beatles precision. It’s got the tight feel of a BMW, but the plush landscape of a ’76 Chrystler Newport. -Yori Dice, Face Magazine.

When a band calls themselves Pleasure Technicians, they’d better practice what they preach. Well, these guys do. On Help Is on the Way, their first full-length release, they’ve taken a current trend — electronic rock — and bent it toward their own ends... And it’s not just one main thing that’s exceptional in each song — the dynamic is due to the full layering of instruments and vocals. While some songs call to mind elements of the club-style dance music of aforementioned bands, others, such as “City Times,” are full of indie-rock fuzz and ambience. -Cindy Yogmas, Pittsburgh City Paper.

The most amazing thing I have heard in years!

Remember the first time you got high. This cd takes you back to that feeling. With so much sameness in music today this album was a welcomed change. The melodies are as beautiful as they are haunting, the guitar as heavenly as it is wicked and the rhythms are enough to put anyone on the dance floor. Buy this record.
