After going into government-ordered exile following the success of their first album, Welcome to the Ple-ground, Plecostomus is back with their second illegitimate love child, Society In General. Released under their own label (Squish Records) in the Summer of 2007, Society In General is sure to become a favorite to win the Bronze Medal in the Dick Toss at next year's Olympic Games.
The sexually-devastating lyrics, political incorrectness, and fuck-your-mother attitude of the album will cause the tracks of Society In General to get stuck in your head like a prison shank.
Plecostomus... an enchanted history:
Like a prancing unicorn proudly waving its erect staff in the diamond-speckled, rainbow colored sky, Plecostomus radiates the shining beacon of light and hope penetrating the storm clouds of drab depression firmly affixed to Omaha's musical scrotus.
So, who is this two-man band extraordinaire that so many vibrant young minds of the seemingly non-lucrative persuasion turn to for a testicle-descendingly good time?
Plecostomus was formed in the fall of 2001 when a spermatozoa named Matt met an egg named Jimmy in the uterus known as Omaha, Nebraska. Upon their emergence into the melodic mediocrity of the day, Pleco decided to entertain the masses by writing songs about everyday observations with an inherent humor and reckless wit stemming from an overuse of recreational stimulants such as coffee and discount pancake breakfasts.
With dingleberries currently flexed due to the success of their first album, Welcome to the Ple-ground, and release of their sophomore album, Society In General, Plecostomus plans to practice once or twice in preparation for their next show, and spend what little money they accrue from peddling their albums trying to impress people by informing them that Plecostomus sucks.
