Patty Slaughter of Blanche, North Carolina, started writing songs and composing music now for over twenty years. After the death of her StepFather in the late 70's. To ease her pain Patty would sing her songs to her siblings and nieces & nephews. Patty met her new mate in 1999, Troy Slaughter. While going through the boxes of papers stored away, Troy found Patty's hand penned songs from years ago. Troy encouraged Patty to promote the songs that she had put away for such a long time. Patty started a band to promote the songs, Patty & Misty Mountain Band. Since then Patty and her band have picked up many awards throughout different organizations from Texas, Tennessee and North Carolina. Soon Patty and her band was heard by Producer Lou Nelson of Texas Drover Records and so after signed to the label. Patty's music today has flourished and has now made the European Charts and radio stations from around the world. Patty is Traditional Country music on the cuttin edge of Bluegrass and has a unique sound in her music from the distinguished sound of the Dobro.
