Album Notes

The story of PNEUMA. Way back in 1993 5 young souls got together to change the world. They brought varying elements to the table including, the guitarist/vocalist: a brief Berklee college of music stint and Anthony Robbins, the chick singer: years of Singing, good looks, and greenfield charm, the Bass Player; years of Rush, priums, Chili Peppers, and 420, the Keyboardist; years of classical training followed by total inmmersion in ELP, Yes, and mind expanding adventures, the drummer brought ridiculous chops, sarcasm and coffee.
Alas ‘twas before their first gigs at beats me (no really it was called beat’s me) when three days prior the drummer disappears and they miraculously grabbed the next
Best thing which turned out to be a gift from the drum line gods. So they swam around the small pond of the central valley for a year until it was time to go to
the big city BERKELEY! Lo, they grabbed an old school player from the glory days of funk to lock down that bottom end and made this CD. This CD is the first
and only release of the band PNEUMA which consists of Saul Kaye :Guitar/Vox;Cyrise Beatty: Vox; David Earl: Keys;vox, Arvin Nealy; Bass; and David Flores;Drums. This band combines worlds of elements including three part harmonies, funk Bass, Latin groove inspired drumming, wild keyboard solos and parts and has been described as Sting meets Tori Amos at at Earth Wind and Fire’s House.
Listen for yourself to a slice of history and let us know what you think…
p.s. Brook Wallace played bass on "Days"

Pneuma escapes from the bolder!
author: Vern Lunquist

I first learned of Pneuma from the elusive three-eyed Nigerian sloth, which is ironically native to northernmost Tahiti. Upon auditory exposure, the sloth gesticulated an artful interpretation of it’s jubilant sonic experience. The sloth denoted exceptional composition, tight rhythm, honest lyrics, ripping guitar, and keyboard creativity – all without a word! Unfortunately, it could not speak because it ate it’s own tongue in an effort to castigate fasting catalogue models. The sloth was right, this CD is worth visiting Tahiti. The sloth made love to this CD, and so will you. -Dr. Dre’s Personal Trainer, Vern Lunquist
