Greetings From the Artist
Welcome!
Guests, I welcome you with sincere appreciation, and know that I am honored to have you as my listening audience. Your support is certainly a blessing to me. I believe that God has given all of us gifts, qualities, and talents to share and not to hold in our own possession, as to prevent others from benefiting. That is why I invite you to be a part of my Music Ministry. I pray that your acceptance of this invitation will cause even more blessings to flow into your life than you've ever imagined.
It is my desire to fulfill my Christian duty of raising the level of productivity of those around me, and to leave a deposit in the earth. As a recipient of salvation,
(Eph. 2:8) and a servant of God, I thank Him for permitting me to exercise the spiritual gifts granted to me, such as: compassion, healing, faith and exhortation to share in a world where so much pain and suffering is prevalent.
(1 Cor.6)
I pray that "Wrapped Up In His Arms" will inspire you with hope, true love and the safety that is found in the arms of Jesus Christ! It has been a joy and a privilege to know that God has orchestrated so many wonderfully, talented musicians, and Spiritually obedient people in my life (especially my husband,) to help serve as a vehicle for His plans...Blessings To You!
BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
Peggy Neely Harris
Anointed! Creative! Multi-talented! Reared among eighteen equally blessed and talented siblings of entrepreneurs, teachers and medical professionals; Arkansas native, Peggy Neely Harris makes her Gospel CD debut with "Wrapped Up In His Arms!" A spirit filled song that delivers a powerful and effective message on the love and safety found in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Peggy ministers her song with conviction, passion and powerfully controlled smooth vocals. Her contemporary track flows with a praise and worship feel in a jazzy flavor, while the upbeat duet of track two boasts "urban connection." The musicianship is soulful, rhythmic and distinctively complimentary. "There is no audience too small for her to minister to, while expending the same level of energy, enthusiasm and passion as though she were in Carnegie Hall!" --Douglas Petty, Pastor/Fresh Start Bible Church
Peggy's genuine people personality, even as a child, was just a prelude to her Christian Theatre Arts activities while growing up in her small hometown Methodist Church. She has, since then, far exceeded her expectations in her craft but constantly thirsts for growth. "Peggy Neely Harris is very capable of ministering the word of God in song while electrifying her audience with her unique style and intimate way of praising and worshipping God." --Min. Allen Wicks/Music Host KSTL 690
Her spoken word on stage is just as melodic and captivating as her singing. With a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech/Mass Communications, Peggy has developed and refined her performing arts skills over a span of 19 years. Her impressive background includes stage, radio/television, film, print, industrials and voice over experience. Peggy's voice graces the titled video theme song "Were You There?" for The Missionary Oblates Catholic Communication Organization of the Central U.S. Province. She is the talent for a number of Bible teaching series videos for Concordia Religious Publishing House. Peggy was one of several opening performers for "An Evening with Maya Angelou" in St. Louis. She has been blessed to share her talents locally and nationally, in addition to an exciting 49-day international tour sponsored by the USA Department of Defense in Europe, then New Mexico.
Peggy is a Drama Consultant/Instructor for the St. Louis Public Schools, and enjoys teaching her craft to children. "She is a magnet with children! Drawing their attention from big to small, with no effort at all." --Mrs. Jacqueline Moore, Drama Specialist/SLPS
She has shared her gifts, qualities and talents with numerous Youth Ministries, both YMCA & YWCA's, universities and professional theatrical companies while promoting cultural diversity. Peggy is currently working with a marketing and promotions company in London, England and is making plans to tour the UK with a full CD, due to be released in the summer of 2003.
