Album Notes

...And so a new chapter begins for Point One with the launch of 'The Absence' Point One's third independent release on their own Groove King record label. After a successful run in 2002 - 2004 with their last album 'Stress Related Injuries' Point One has had a chance to write, create and come up with some of the best material they have written in their 10 year career.

In the words of Len Hotrum singer and songwriter for Point One "we hope the messages in these songs will make the listener dig deeper into their own lives a little deeper to reach that void or 'The Absence' in their lives that we all tend to fill with addictions, materiel possessions, drugs, sex or money you name it... We are so wrapped up in daily struggle that we are missing the whole point of living! All songs on 'The Absence' are a resemblance of the darkness that exists around us past, present and future."

'The Absence' is Point One's third and most potent album to date. Working together with producer Kelly Gray (Queensryche, Candlebox, Nevermore) Point One have been able to define and capture their unique sound. Highlights on 'The Absence' include 'Never Let It Go' - 'Sometimes' and the epic closing track 'The Absence'. Delve into this album and find out what Point One is all about.

This Stuff Is Great!

I picked up a copy after listening to the bands streaming samples and was impressed. I love the hard hitting music, but the harmonies are quite amazing as well. This album is 'the whole package' as far as music goes. Great stuff, and I can't wait for the next release! Special thanks to Erick S for getting me into these guys. 100 precent awesome!
