Album Notes

I've been an artist all my life, but one of my great fantasies is to hear a song of mine coming over the radio. (I hear Richard Thompson playing one of my tunes!)

The lyrics are hugely important to me, and I like to think of my songs as multi-leveled. The first listening has to hook you of course, but then I hope that a deeper reflection will occur with familiarity. Some of these songs are just a bit silly, and involve fictitious characters, but they all stem from my own introspection.

I'm singer songwriter, in the folk/blues tradition. I play out at coffeehouses when the mood strikes. An attentive audience makes all the difference, and I'm just not willing to sit in the smoke of a noisy bar to "pay the dues". The dues will get paid in another lifetime I guess, or I could say that I pay the dues with my painting and music is just gonna be fun!
