Upbeat, curiously unique rock and blues with a crossover into Celtic and folk styles, very real hard-earned, lyrics vie with melodic songwriting and instrumental virtuosity.

Album Notes

Singer/Songwriter/Multi-instrumentalist Mark Pollock brings a curiously unique blend of styles to his third release, delving into rock, blues, acoustic folk-rock, and Celtic themes. Thoughtful and topical lyrics meld with the instrumental virtuousity of his backing band, The Big Spenders. Pollock has shared the stage with Joe Cocker, Charlie Daniels, The Beach Boys, The Outlaws, The Band, America, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Bo Diddley, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, The Pousette-Dart Band, James Montgomery, Jethro Tull, Peter Wolf, Edgar Winter, Eddie Money, Commander Cody, Matt "Guitar" Murphy, and Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues.

Pollock released his debut CD, "Burning In Your Bones," in 1997. The second CD, "Corridors of Light," was released the following year. The third CD, "Mark Pollock and the Big Spenders," released in 2000, features the members of his live touring band. Current dates and band information is available at Pollock's website at www.junkyrd.com.
