Album Notes

While this album isn't available as a CD at the moment, you can get it on Itunes. Thanks for listening - A & P

Story So Far > Polly Fiveash & Anand Nayak have sung together for years. Starting in their college dorm stairwell, they've since performed on streets and stages throughout New England. The Road the Wheels & the Ride represents the years of living life together, getting to know each other as musicians, making forays into song-writing, learning how to record. Written and recorded mostly in their Northampton, MA apartment (between the buzzing of prop planes from the local airfield), and mainly gentle in sound, the album covers a range of styles and moods, eras and stories. It's an album they are both proud of, and hopefully the first of many.

REVIEWS

excellent cd
author: natalie schorr
While my favorite songs on this cd are TWO LEAVES and THE ROAD THE WHEEL AND THE RIDE, the whole CD deserves high praise. I was listening to it closely as I sorted spices in my kitchen one morning and I found the timing and harmony of the numbers superb and the whole cd exciting. I liked the way Polly and Anand took their time phrasing the songs. I thought maybe the scent of the spices had made it such a great experience so I put it on another day while peeling potatoes. It sounded just as good.

I loved this c.d. well done !!

This is a top notch c.d., Polly's voice is unique, sort of a cross between Jewell and Alanis Morsette. The harmonies are melodious. Its original and the poetry is simply wonderful. I really enjoyed the range and variety of music these guys can pull off.
