Album Notes

Percussionist/Songstress/Dancer - Polly is devoted to preserving the Divine, Sacred Feminine through music, dance, art & scholarship. She sings while she drums, letting rhythms guide her intelligent lyrics and buttery, percussive vocals straight into the heart of the listener. Her unique sound has been called "Appalachian Jazz Percussion", "American Ethnico Folk", and "Acoustic Rhythmic Love Spirituals".

Polly's debut solo album, The Declaration of Radwoman - Sacred Songs & Sung Poems, features her raw, spirited voice and poignant lyrics backed by her own drum and piano rhythms. Currently in studio, Polly's second album - featuring vocals, percussion, bass and cello - offers danceable grooves with delicious rhythms, and global messages of love, war, peace and violence.

Polly is working on a Master's of Fine Arts degree in Creative Inquiry:Interdisciplinary Arts, focusing on Arts Activism and Social Justice. She holds a Master's degree in Women's Spirituality from New College of California in San Francisco. Her Master's thesis, "The Menstrual Origins of Money: Radical Economics in the Presence of the Divine, Sacred Feminine" is published as a paperback book, available for purchase at lulu.com/radwoman.

As a contribution towards world peace, Polly sometimes leads her audience through the ceremony of Self-Marriage, and offers the do-it-yourself approach, with detailed instructions on the inside cover of her first cd.
