Beauty, sadness, happiness and tragedy are the emotional ingredients in the feast this modern Mexican Norteño group cooks up. In fact, throw the lyrics away and you’d probably miss the fact that they’re singing about their vices, a tragic suicide, the sanctity of matrimony, a dance party and drug smugglers. But there is no sadness here, at least not long enough to halt a good FIESTA. El Polvo Norteño delivers its dishes in various flavors from corridos to rancheras to cumbia, but all seasoned with their own special blend of northern spices.
