Album Notes

Peter Polzak and Bill Harrison have been playing music together for well over twenty years. They have developed a level of mutual understanding that goes far beyond "listening" and being able to anticipate one another's musical moves. It is a kind of simpatico that simply must be heard to be appreciated. This CD is a mix of standards, jazz tunes and one original. Recorded in two short sessions, the disc is mainly first takes, no edits or fixes of any kind. Relax and enjoy!

The key word here is "duet." These guys really listen and work with each other, and Harrison's bass is a full partner in the dance. Deceptively simple music that deepens with every spin.

This is a beautiful, moving work by these incredible musicians. I've been listening to it on "Loop" mode in my car for two weeks now - I never grow tired of it.
