Album Notes

Vicki is a folksinger and a songwriter based in Fort Collins, Colorado. If you like '60-style folk and folk-rock (like Joni Mitchell, James Taylor or John Prine) or contemporary folk, singer-songwriters (like Shawn Colvin, David Wilcox, or Dar Williams), you'll enjoy the warm voice and acoustic guitar of Vicki Pompea.

Having Vicki Pompea as a featured monthly performer was a wonderful addition to my coffee and ice cream shop here in Fort Collins. With her warm and welcoming style, and variety of music, she attracted a wide range of customers to stay and listen - and of course come back the next time she was on the schedule. She made everyone who listened feel they that they are part of her family for that evening...

... thank you for your CD. I just listened to it. And girl, it is magical. It is wonderful. I got goosbumps listening to some of the songs on there... It's just so lovely. So I just wanted to thank you for sharing it me.
- Rosann Winn, Singer-songwriter

Vicki Pompea makes you feel right at home. Her easy style and gentle smile welcome you to her gig as though she were inviting you into her living room for a casual evening of singing by the fireplace. In a seemingly effortless fashion, she weaves a basket of delights for a variety of musical tastes, ranging from pure folk, to folk-rock, to country-rock. Her alto voice is somewhat reminiscent of Joan Baez, but with a softer and gentler delivery, and clear tones.
- Debbie Bidwell

Unique and interesting lyrics... You are truly a fresh and original lyric writer, Vicki.

listen to it 'til you can sing along!
author: Pam Jennings
These are the GOOOD songs that follow you with warm melodies and words throughout the day and make you happy to sing them under your breath. "Don't want to be THAT kind of old..." These are "happy to be in the skin that I'm in" kinds of songs. I was fortunate to see Vicki perform live and quickly bought 2 copies of her CD - one for me and one for my sister. Buy one, it will not disappoint.

Vicki's music speaks to my heart, my life, and my spirit. Every song I listened to I thought "That's my favorite." This CD will be Christmas gifts for my mother, my step-mothers, and my sisters!

A warm blanket and cup of tea . . . .
author: Julie Yates
Vicki Pompea's CD creates feelings of comfort and warmth. The lyrics are beautiful and original. While all of Vicki's songs are wonderful, I particularly love Lightening and Thunder . . . it's best listened to while curled up with a favorite blanket and cup of tea.
