Poncho Luxurio are a group of PDX homies that lay down funky, jazzy, and snazzy jams, bringing to mind masters like The Meters, Galactic, Grey Boy All-stars, and Garaj Mahal. All instrumental with sax, bass, drums, and guitar, Poncho projects soundscapes to get the crowd movin' and groovin'. Formed in 2005, they have played at some of Portland's top clubs like Jimmy Maks, Goodfoot Lounge, Ash St. Saloon, the Bitter End, Mississippi Pizza Pub, and the Buffalo Gap. Able to fill a night with 2-plus hours of music and draw 30-40 peeps that drink like fishes, they are built for jammin'. Now sit back, listen and dig it yo!
