Album Notes
The Long awaited question of who the Papa Doc character from the 8 Mile movie has finally been answered! In 1995 there was only one Popa that was known in the city of Detroit and that is Popa Duck! The name given to him in his youth was never intended to be a rap name.

Popa Duck began rapping in the 80's with a crew called Riverside Hard Heads. Over the years the group going there separate ways have reunited as Hard Head and Greedy.

In the mid 90's Popa Duck was introduced to producer Michael Powell of Anita Baker fame. The two met through Popa Duck's God father while he was rapping at various youth rallies. Michael Powell recognizing the talent in the young rapper asked to produce him. The first project they did together was with The Bush Man (97.9Fm WJLB on air personality). Popa Duck was one of the original members of the Bush Crew and could be heard every day on Bush Man's Roll Call (show opening music). Now in 2006 Popa Duck teamed up with Detroit's Ghetto-Tech bass king SixFoe A.K.A Big Six, to record what would be a underground banger the song " I ain't gotta pop the trunk, I got that thang wit me!" A high energy, bass banging trunk rattlin, head crackin classic!. Also traks like " Un-Real " and " Hard Heads " let's you know Popa Duck is a Detroit Legend.

Popa Duck performed with people such as Dru Hill, Montell Jordan, and SWV and became known for his aggressive rap delivery!
