I have the first two albums and some live audio tracks. This album is like the Zep II album in the sense that it builds on the first album, but it as something more sophisticated. Miss Me Too seems to be the most old-timey song, like Union Blues on the first album. Hand in Hand is the beautiful song (really beautiful). I will be driving to the New York/Wash DC area to check out the live show soon.

This album is full of cutting-edge antiquities that bring me back to my roots. It’s like a roots revival jam with great poets and singers. Several styles of folk and country soul are on this one album. These guys will go down in history. This is a cool study of creativity.

This Album is a Blast!

I recently had the pleasure of attending “The Porch Pistols Shark Finn Inn Sessions”, to see them perform songs from the My Blue Jeans album, and I had a blast. Tommy Chaffee & CJ Torrise are the band. They are the composers, musicians, and writers for The Porch Pistols. CJ’s performance with his acoustical guitar not only showed his talent and training, but the original scores were fun and melodramatic. Tommy’s lead singing and harmonica playing reminded me of a mix of Bob Seeger and Joe Cocker. The music is a mix of Americana and Blues history. I personally think that if they ever convert their effort to a full blown rock band, it would probably even be more exciting. Right on Porch Pistols, keep on rock’n!!!
