Album Notes
Bio (July 2012)
Portrait is the brainchild of a San Francisco producer and photographer. Portrait's debut album, Symphony of Errors, captures the colors of our endless, and often solitary, search for truth in life, love, and relationship. This 9-track album weaves dubstep's rhythms, RnB's lyricism, and ambient music's depth into a textured spectrum of emotions, and is a natural continuation of a life-long love affair with synth sounds and intimate photography. Portrait's production palette sits comfortably between Aphex Twin's ambient work, Boards of Canada, Depeche Mode, James Blake, M83, and Phaeleh.

Indie Current (September 2012)
"What Love Is,” a single which has a serenely smooth landscape, gives Portrait, the San Francisco native, a clear playing-field for laying down lightly tender sections of dubstep."

Waxwaves Australia (September 2012)
"I’ve found another track appropriate to have on blast while you clean your hot neighbor's pool, pull an all-nighter with your boss in the file room, or conveniently break down in the middle of no-where without cell reception or cash."
