Album Notes

Posey Hill is a beautiful Americana blend of bluegrass, old-time country, folk and modern acoustic music. With enchanting vocals and tight family harmony backed by the perfect instrumentation that ranges from subtle to flashy, they can take the stage at a bluegrass festival as comfortably as they would at a coffee house or your local pub. One minute you'll be tapping your feet to driving banjo and fiddle, the next closing your eyes while soaking up a harmony-filled old country tune and then smiling your way through a jazzy, blues-tinged vocal gem. Posey Hill draws material from a wide range of sources such as Hank Williams, Jimmie Rodgers, Paul Simon, Kasey Chambers and even themselves and other unknowns. They definitely have something for folks of all ages. If you like down-home music done with class or that "Sweet Lonesome Sound", Posey Hill is where you want to be. The CD is excellent!! I love bluegrass and have not taken the CD out of my truck but to take it inside a few times. I would recommend this CD and group to anyone that likes bluegrass and folk music. You will not be dissapointed. Plus they are from SW Arkansas...God's country...just all the sweeter.
