Album Notes

Possession has emerged from some of Southern California's most interesting original music bands. From Violet Tendencies in the 90's and Andromeda in the early part of the millenium, the new band was formed in 2003 to fill the void in the San Diego Music scene for emotionally charged and deeply poetic rock. Anat has been singing professionally for over a decade, and has been charming audiences and accruing a following from Montreal, Canada to the Mexican Border. The latest edition to the band is German guitar sensation, Matthias von Herrath. Teaming up with Rob Cureton on Keyboards and guitars and Andrew Redmond's bombastic drumming, they have formed a unit to create music with a message that turns every performance into an adventure.

I listened to this band by chance (I liked the cover-girl) I was positively surprised with the crisp creative arrangements and sultry voice reminscent of "The Pretenders", & "Blondie" . Anat, the singer (in my mind) is the new "Patsy Cline". A fresh voice to be reckoned with out of Southern California. "I confess" & "Earth" stuck in my mind. When are they performing live and where?
