Part One Tribe have been kickin out their funky reggae rock anthems since 1996. Currently they are based out of Cape Cod Massachusetts. They play a nice smooth blend of reggae grooves, rock, and blues.
2004 launches the bands creation of Hoodie Crew Indie Productions as well as the release of the new, long awaited, Part One Tribe cd, "The General Consensus: 2002-2004". By far the bands best work, the album features the diversity of the band, blending various influencial musical styles into a personal style unique to the band. Blues music, rock music, reggae, dancehall, southern rock, hip hop have always been part of the bands soul. The new album features 15 tracks. Part One Tribe teamed up with Original General Smiley (from the great reggae duo Michigan & Smiley) on the track "Rudeboy". They also did the track "Like That" with a local hero to the band, Dan Vitale of Boston's Bim Skala Bim.
Part One Tribe boasts a vast range of musical influences. The band shares similarities with bands like: RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL, SUBLIME, PEARL JAM, SLIGHTLY STOOPID, 311, NOFX, JANES ADDICTION, BARGAIN MUSIC, BOB MARLEY, and many more.
Part One Tribe is currently touring the east coast and west coast this spring/summer. All May & June the band will be in Myrtle Beach, SC and come July they head across country and back to places like Chicago, Colorado, Wisconsin, Ohio, San Francisco, San Diego, Arizona, and more. Check out the bands tour dates to find out where you can check their show. http://www.partonetribe.com

From Pumping Gas to a Great CD
author: Paul Sargia
Loved the music. What a great find! I was pumping gas on I-95 in Stamford, Connecticut when I was approached by a bandmember of Part One Tribe. I think it was George. He offered to sell me one of their CDs, but I didn't have any cash. So he gave me their Web address and I ordered a copy just because he seemed like a good guy. Best reggae I've heard in a long time. Can't wait to can hear them live in the CT/NY area.

BUY THIS NOW !
author: Broke By Monday
I stumbled on these guys in Ft.Meyers, FL about a year ago. Bought 2 copies after seeing them perform. And a couple T-shirts because they were cool people too. We have since done lots of shows with them across the country and consider them good friends. They have a groove unlike any of the other bands in this genre. Buy their stuff, download what you can, and don't ever miss them live. If you want to feel like you are having a Corona and a spleef on a warm ocean beach and having a perfect day, this CD will help you get there every time. I couldn't find a spot for 6 stars, so 5 will have to do.
