Album Notes

Potomac Jazz Project announces the release of their second CD entitled “Bop, Ballads & Blues,” a collection mainstream jazz in the tradition of Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker and Herbie Hancock. The songs on this CD were recorded live and without isolation at the acoustically superb Kittamaqundi Community Center in Columbia, MD. We have attempted to capture the spirit, energy and essence of our live performances by performing in a room with great acoustics, and without isolation booths, multi-tracking or overdubbing.

Potomac Jazz Project is a mainstay at DC jazz venues, seen and heard frequently at Sala Thai, Extra Virgin, Laporta’s and Ice House Café. They have also performed at venues such as The Smithsonian Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian American Art Museum, The Phillips Collection and The Kennedy Center.
