Album Notes
This album was recorded from April '08- August '09 at Newkirk Studios, Brooklyn, NY. Owned and engineered by Ben Rice of the band Surefire. Ben was instrumental in helping us put together a great sounding record. Stew Wenig helped big time with backing vocals, while Andreas Altmann likewise did a phenomenal job playing lead guitar on more than half the album. Thank you gentlemen.

MOUNTAINS OF HOPE - A song about great faith and belief in a vision. It's about doing what one needs to do in order to reach a cherished goal. It's about climbing the mountains of our hopes.

G O O D N I T E - a great little kick ass tune with Andreas Altman on lead guitar. This is actually a song about not being the person everyone else might seem to think you are.

NEW LIFE - A nice little pop/rock tune very Beatle-ish in its feel This one is about LOVE and relationships ...whether they be on a human plane or in a spiritually divine way. As the listener, I can think of my love for God as well as another person in my life.

STATE OF MIND - Great song ... one of my favorites. This is about what we carry in our heads on a daily basis. Many of us live unhappy lives just from the negative thoughts we carry every single day, most times, never being aware that we are even doing so. Change your thinking is the message here, and change it for the good. Andreas is again on the lead guitar here. The original lik he did for the intro of the song sounded too much like an REM song, so we played it backwards and it came out great! I had been reading at the time how The Beatles had begun experimenting with playing stuff backwards during the Revolver sessions, so that's really what gave me the idea.

NO CONDITIONS - Another Beatle-ish type pop/rock song. I really enjoyed writing this one. This is plainly a song about "unconditional" love. "To love someone yet set them free to grow" to love without smothering the other person ... To love without always expecting something in return, but simply because you love them I even use the picture of Jesus dying on the cross for those he loved.

A L R I T E - A nice little rocker about romance, dreams and other obligations.

PIECE OF MY HEART - This song about lost love and dissapointment. Real "classic rock" feel here with a bit of blues thrown in. In this song Stew and Andreas exchange guitar riffs. Stew plays some lead in the intro and the bridge ... Andy solos right after the bridge.

F I R E - A tune about the irresistible Spirit of God and how it draws men and women enlightening them to truth and the more important things of this life.

H O ME - I like the guitar work of Andreas here. Really makes the chorus sound fuller. This song is about following a dream that the creator has placed in your heart. No matter what others may say or think about it, pay no mind to them just do what you were meant to do.

Rose From The Dead - This song is actually a personal testimony of my life. A lot of wasted years, running in circles. Slowly but surely getting my act together over the years, with the help of some GREAT self help books, including The Secret and The Power Of Your Subconcious Mind.

The Trial - I wrote this with a metronome set at 3/4 time. Because Joe suggested I write in different time signatures. The idea was a good one, and I've now got several songs other than 4/4 time.

This song is about having faith in the unseen force (or God, if you will) that guides the lives of those that seek its guidance.
