The Presence Bio

The Presence is an up-and-coming independent rock band hailing from the inner city suburbs of Sydney. The Presence produces a mouth-watering cocktail of rock combining hard-hitting, heavy riffs with the contagious rhythm of modern rock and roll.

As an independent artist, The Presence makes and markets its own music. The band writes and performs original modern rock songs.

David Lancaster is the lead singer and bass player, Julian Leuzzi is the lead guitarist, Riley Moore is the rhythm guitarist and Matt McHugh plays the drums.

David and ‘Jules’ grew up in the same street and benefited from the tutelage of both David’s father Alan, a rock legend from the English band Status Quo, and neighbour John Brewster, the guitarist from The Angels. Matt is a lifelong friend of the Lancaster family and Riley grew up in the same suburb as the rest of the band.

The Presence is dedicated to writing, producing and performing roof-raising modern rock music and to reaching and inspiring as many people as possible. The band is currently planning an overseas tour for 2011. You can connect with The Presence via Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and You Tube.
