Album Notes

The Preserves first collection is a baker's-dozen of carbonated and powerful songs. Their "sound" is hard to describe - because The Preserves are about the songs, and not "the band". This has always been foremost. They are honest, sweet, political, and yet nutty. Is that dangerous enough for you? Every one of these Preserves classics debuted at the Alaska Folk Festival in Juneau, over the the course of the last 14 years, where they have been favorites. This is major medicine for the times. Enjoy!

The preserves are a fun band with a quirky, unusual sound. The song writing is original and socially conscious. I really like this album.
