Album Notes

"This young act has already generated quite a buzz" -- John Schoenberger, Album Network

"With a sound that's equal parts intrigue and catharsis . . . You're Pretty is one of the most innovative acts"
-- Gemma Tarlach, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

Wisconsin's You're Pretty has released their third CD titled, "Beautiful Accident". The band has spent the year 2000 traveling from coast to coast three times and has built up a fan base as well as turning heads of record executives. Immediately following the travels, You're Pretty went into the studio the whole month of January ready to record the songs that they had written from the following year on the road. This is a disc comprised of 12 songs filled with every song having a feel of it's own. The quiet ones are quieter and the heavy ones are heavier than before. The band has grown in their writing ability and has put the road into this disc.
The band is on the verge of a national breakthrough after gaining major grassroots support as well as attention from label executives throughout the industry and even other bands. The members of Staind called You're Pretty's management from the "Family Values" tour to request that six more copies of their CD be sent to them via Federal Express!
Formed in early 1998 in Southeastern Wisconsin, You're Pretty received commercial radio airplay throughout the Midwest and Southeast of its debut self-titled, self-released CD. "Worst of Me" off of their second project, "The 161-EP", is placed on 2 compilation CD's. Devsoulang Records out of Indianapolis and BandPromote.com out of Hollywood. These compilations have been recently released to industry, media, and radio across the United States.

The quartet's unique sound is anchored by Beth Musolff's sometimes ethereal, sometimes intense vocals. Says Album Network's John Schoenberger, "[She] at one moment can be subdued and ethereal and the next excited and intense." Blue Asphalt's Mike Magnuson wrote, "It's clear that You're Pretty are no slave to the rock 'n' roll formula . . . Beth Musolff creates the mood and the band follows . . . [she] goes from ghost-like whispers to forceful yells a la Tori Amos. You're Pretty is powerfully reflective."

The Iowa Daily's Jon Dahlager has written, "Thoughtful ballads coexist with Korn-inspired tracks." OnMilwaukee.com music editor Bay Dariz called the group "one of Milwaukee's best bands . . . beyond the aggro-rock exterior of their songs, the music contains instrumentation and vocals that could easily be described not only as 'pretty' but even 'beautiful.'"

Still love this band
author: Alyssa
They have such a unique sound. Beth's vocals are incredible and the instrumentals stay fresh and interesting. Every song is a treat. It's so sad that they're not around anymore. I really think they could've gone somewhere, and they deserve to be heard.

Powerful Music

I've never really been a fan of this sort of music until I came across this band. Beth's vocals are so powerful on top of the heavy guitars and drums. It's a shame they are no more...

it's a shame you're pretty broke up because they could have gone so far, and even beat evanescence to this genre of music. this album is awesome.

Bloody Hell...
author: Nikita
Blood Hell, this album is great! I have been listening to it for, what? A week now? Yes. And I have not once gotten bored with it. My favorite track is track six, "Something Real", and track three, "Breakthrough Breakdown". Both are amazing, and the vocals are outstanding. I, myself have got a bitching voice, but my range is blwon away by this... Great album. Reccomended to anyone, whether you are a fan of pop, Gothic, or electronic - it is all here.
