Album Notes

Returning with their sophomore album, The Remains of the Heart, Pretty in Velvet expands on their electro sound with hard hitting guitars and a rocking attitude. Reminding people of the music of Billy Corgan\'s solo work mixed with Depeche Mode early songs, She Wants Revenge,The Cure, and a lot of 80\'s influence, the music tells the story of passion, heartbreak, resentment, recovery and all the emotions and thoughts that comes with bad relationships.

Based in, of all places, New Jersey, the band has gone through a lot of changes. Starting from a single to a trio and back again, the band\'s goal is always to incorporate all the styles they loved into an electro hard rock style album rocking enough to move you on a dance floor but catchy enough to make you unwittingly hum their tunes for weeks on end. This is that album.

Featuring the 80\'s metal guitars of Chris Bickham, the Beat pounding drums of Zombi Mike, and the melodic vocals, passionate keys, and grooving bass of the soul brother and founding member, Kage Hopkins, PIV marks their territory as a band with nothing to prove and everything to show.
