The Primate Fiasco is a project based out of Northampton MA that uses found objects such as early New Orleans Jazz and Ragtime/Dixieland fused with every style of music since. While the instruments are traditional, the performances are modern and unusual.

Typical Primate Fiasco shows are performed in rock venues, colleges, and festivals along side hip hop, reggae, funk, and other styles of bands. But the band is also available for swing jazz and dixieland gigs such as private functions, weddings, corporate parties, and even school clinics.

The Primate Fiasco fan base consists of college students, children, punks, retired folks, rappers, churches, heathens, hippies, jazz enthusiasts, baby boomers, candy ravers, and politicians. It's always a challenge to answer the question, "who is their audience?", though they can say with ease, "whoever you are, welcome to our show."
