Second Wind Beginnings fuses three genres of music together: R&B, Latin, and Jazz. My Afro-Latino Dominican roots manifest in a pursuit of rhythm and intricate percussion patterns, and in doing so, I caught my “Second Wind."

Album Notes

I want to thank all those who helped me to make this, my first album, possible. I chose the title of “Second Wind” to signify my resurrection, that would not have been possible if not for God’s blessings, and for the grandioso support and encouragement from that special someone in my life, Linda, who is now my wife. She is blessed with that special insight that made her capable of seeing in me what I did not see in myself. Actually, she’s my biggest fan who never stops believing in me. Muchas gracias mi amore. Yo siempre te amare. Thanks to mi hermano, “Taxi” Charles Williams @ Taxi Productions, for all of his friendship and technical support advice. Thanks to Harry Harrison @ The YMI Cultural Center, Asheville, NC, for giving my band a place to play and learn. Thanks to David Evans for lending his talented guitar licks and to Tommy McKnight for his smokin' hot keyboards. Thanks to mi hermano, Miles Williams, from beginning to the end, always supportive. I love ya, man! Special thanks to Prime Tyme City Orchestra and Band members, past and present, for having been a part of this awesome journey. Finally, this album is dedicated to my daughter whose young life ended so unexpectedly. I miss you, Maureen, and you will always be in my thoughts, and most importantly, I’ll always love you. I am so sorry you are not here to share these times with me. May you have a grand and wonderful journey. Love always and forever, your Dad. Thank you for supporting a musician today and I hope you enjoy this album. Viva la vida y la musica! Dwight
