-Flares Beyond My Vision: the first “collection“ album of the author, that proposes again, to fans and not, one small part of approximately eight years of composed music, but that contains also three new tracks that anticipate the exit of the next album-soundtrack, No Ordinary Human.
Truly appealing the variety proposed in this album that brings again to the spotlight besides the magical atmosphere of the already famous tracks, the last novelties together new and very accurate mixes of Beyond My Ice and I Believe that add an indeed lively dance load with the new entry No Ordinary Love, “classic trance” track, irresistible, complete with sensual and involving lyrics.
Being practically a “best of…” album we don’t imagine minimally to find a link or a sort of continuity among the proposed tracks and it’s so in fact but perhaps only apparently.
Really A.P. made it once again to link the tracks together (resuming perhaps a bit the style of the “concept albums” of the ‘70) inserting between one and next, passages with particular sonorities with which he leads us in his personal “land of wonders” where, between past, present and future he offers us a part of the best of himself, transporting us and suasively fascinating us with the style of the perfect “Great Master of Ceremonies”.
The album opens with Neuromantic Visions, track that perhaps mostly represents the artistic vision of the author, and bring us back, together with Megacity 2169 and Inverted Polarity, to the dream and the sensations of the beautiful album of the 2001 (Neuromantic Visions).
Our curiosity is fulfilled with the new tracks: very evocative and “cinematographic” are No Ordinary Human-Main Theme and The Lady Of The Lake in which, between notes, the water depth can be nearly tangibly perceived, sensation of "music to touch" to which by now A.P. has accustomed us. Fresh and amusing instead is the all danceable “classic trance” No Ordinary Love.
Discovering again tracks of remarkable sound impact, even if of old date, renders this album indeed interesting to the neophytes, Destiny and Pa Xi Loung (from the album Destiny of the 1998) as an example; or tracks, already much beautiful in the instrumental version, that perhaps would deserve a good text and a sung version to shine with new life, like the tender I’m Coming To You (from Destiny) and Free My Heart (from the album Beyond My Ice of 1999). Like more interesting and appealing were made the remix versions of the two reintroduced tracks Beyond My Ice and I Believe (always from album Beyond My Ice) that, complete of more modern sonorities, have sure acquired more expressive power in this last album.
All these particularitities together are what render this album alive and appealing, indeed unmissable, as for the devoted fans as for the new listeners.
