From busking the streets of Soho, New York, to opening Oz Concert Perth, WA in front of 5000 plus people. Prita is at home on the stage, whether big or small, she exudes joy and playfulness and sings her melodic heart out.. 'writing is my way of expressing what’s going on in and around me, performing is my joy and passion'.

Her style is bluesy roots/pop, her shows are intimate, engaging and thoroughly enjoyable. With some jazz vocal training and 15 years of original songwriting and performing her sound is like Eva Cassidy/Missy Higgins/KT Tunstall. An early education in Taoist, Buddhist and Zen philosophy, an Indian Sanskrit name, her inquisitive mind, and adventurous spirit have all shaped Pritas' songwriting style. She sings soulful ballads of seafarers and jazzy pop tunes before she says goodbye, finger picking and strumming her way through each lyric and melody. She draws inspiration from artists like Tiddas, The Badloves, Lauryn Hill, India Arie, Donny Hathaway, James Taylor, Lior...

As a recording artist Prita has sung vocals and played acoustic guitar on her self titled 'Prita EP'; sang backing vocals on the 'Dave Mann Collective' full length album endless page and EP; sung vocals, harmonies and played acoustic guitar on deep water blues' self titled EP, and harmonized on various other projects.

She has played major Australian Folk festivals from Port Fairy to Fairbridge in the varied groups she performed with, and toured from Albany to Kunnunurra on the west coast, Darwin; and Melbourne on the east coast of Australia. Currently traveling the US and Bahamas Prita has played to fishermen on docks, and locals in bars, millionaires on yachts and people on the streets. She is happy playing wherever the wind takes her and enjoys collaborating with other artists. Harmonies come naturally to this songbird as can be heard on her own self titled Prita EP, and all the recordings above.

Prita is available for solo shows up to 3 hours.
