Album Notes

Private Domain was formed in San Diego in 1985 by guitarist/ songwriter Jack Butler and vocalist/ songwriter Paul Shaffer, featuring Dean Smith on bass and Jake Najor on drums. They have been a consistent Southern California live attraction, recently appearing at HooleyFest, SD Street Scene, Charger Power Parties at Qualcomm Stadium, as well as performing regularly at many SD night clubs including Dick's Last Resort, Humphrey's By the Bay, the Barefoot Bar, plus Viejas, Harrah's and Barona casios.


Private Domain has had their music appear in several major motion pictures, as well as having had a radio hit with their song "Absolute Perfection." They currently have two original CD's available. A third brand new CD "Great Leaders" was released March 1st at a CD release party at Humphrey's Backstage.
