Debut cd from THE PROCRASTINATORS consisting of 12 original songs that jump from genre to genre with ease. If you don't like one song or another, skip to the next one because it is completely different. Check out the song samples and see for yourself. Their writing reflects the influence of The Beatles, Neil Young, and Merle Haggard. Often times all in the same song! Hard to fit into any one category, so Americana will have to do for now. David Green & Bill Carson make up the core of THE PROCRASTINATORS but they are supported by a fine cast of musicians including: Allan Phillips, Brad Broyles, Rick Wright, Randy Myers, Dave Millsap, Danny Fowler, Joe Stevens, Richard & Sherry Smith, Buddy Webb, Jon Meyerson, Mike Bullman, Mark Singletary, Bob Levings, and Robert Dalton.

Reminiscent of 1970's West Coast country-rock scene
author: Americana Homeplace
The self-titled debut release from The Procrastinators has been a popular addition to Americana Homeplace. Our e-mail inbox has been flooded with requests from fans of the Fort Worth band. The Procrastinators are led by David Green and Bill Carson and feature progressive acoustic-based music rooted in country, rock and folk. Despite the band's Texas roots, The Procrastinators' music is strongly reminiscent of the West Coast country-rock scene of the 1970s. Everything I've Been Doing would fit nicely on an early Eagles record. On Find Another Fool the band embraces country music, while It's Over is a straight-ahead blues workout. Growling Dogs features a mellow groove with a social message about political fanaticism. With songs like these it's understanable why The Procrastinators have such a loyal following. Despite the name, The Procrastinators aren't wasting any time making an impact here at Americana Homeplace.

What happened while The Procrastinators were postponing the launch of their music careers (both are 50+) is that they got good, very good. With the wisdom that time provides comes real life experience and sincerity. When they sing of love gone wrong and everything they've been doing, they know what they're talking about, more so than most of their Texas singer/songwriter counterparts. They've been there and done it, and it's apparent in these songs. Poetic yet blunt lyrics are supported by great melodies and vocals, most notable in "Everything I've Been Doing," "It Don't Take No Genius," and "Mexico or Bust."
